The Wise Virgins Fell Asleep Just Before The Lord’s Return
The Church is growing weary and falling to sleep just before the coming of the Lord.
9. How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:— Proverbs 6:9-10 (KJV)
You see the wise just like the foolish slumbered and began to doze off way before they actually fell asleep.
Notice what the Scripture says, a little sleep, a little slumber.
A little sleep, a little slumber, not fully asleep yet. How can you be ready for the coming of the Lord if you’re asleep?
Watch and Pray Always
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.— Luke 21:36 (KJV)
This is why Jesus said to WATCH and PRAY. How can you watch if you’re asleep and how can you pray if you’re not watching? They go hand in hand.
The wise like the foolish virgins did not awake and trim their lamps until they heard a cry. Behold the Bride-groom comes! Go ye out to meet him.
They went out to meet the newlyweds. The bride-groom. The bride and groom have become one.
And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.— Luke 12:36 (KJV)
How can you say you’re the bride of Christ when your not ready?
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.— Revelation 19:7 (KJV)
